FAQs
Are these veterans homeless?
No. The veterans we serve through our program are usually recently divorced or have no family to connect back with after returning home from duty. Please keep in mind, they must maintain a reasonable conduct to remain eligible for veteran services and benefits.
Will they damage the property?
We screen every veteran before they apply for the space. Each caseworker has a thorough understanding of their backgrounds. We offer cleaning, cooking, and laundry services throughout the week to ensure that the property is well taken care of. This allows us to be a part of the community and keep an eye on the property while still providing direct support to the veterans several times throughout the week.
Why would veterans want to have a co-living space?
Veterans are used to facing the hardest times, with a group or in a like-minded community. Remember, they have unique experiences from civilians and this helps them to feel connected with people of a like-mind and can relate to their complex life experiences. This also helps them to feel safe.
